Who operates Calicen

Calicen Life is operated by Calicen Life LLC, 1309 Coffeen Ave, STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States. For privacy and legal requests, email legal@calicen.life.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information created through your use of Calicen, and limited technical information needed to operate and understand the service.

• Account information, including name, email address, password hash, confirmation status, language preference, profile image, and Google sign-in identifiers when you choose Google OAuth.
• Health-profile information, including birthday, biological sex, height, weight, unit preference, waist and other body measurements, calculator results, and dated measurement history.
• Protocol information, including cycle dates, current block, saved recipes, exercises and literature, completed activities, and other tracking information you choose to record.
• Content you submit, including recipes, text, images, edits, support messages, and publication status.
• Commerce and contact information associated with orders, support, newsletter requests, returns, or refunds. Payment details are processed through Shopify and its payment services rather than stored as complete payment-card numbers by Calicen.
• Technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, request logs, sign-in events, cookie choices, and website interactions.

How we use information

• Provide, personalize, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Calicen.
• Calculate protocol dates, targets, health-tool results, trends, and measurement history.
• Authenticate accounts, remember language and cookie choices, and respond to support or legal requests.
• Process and support orders, shipping, returns, refunds, and product questions.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of these Terms.
• Comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Health information

Health-profile and measurement information is private to your Calicen profile. Calicen does not sell it and does not provide it to advertising, social-media, commerce, or analytics providers. Calicen does not share identifiable health history outside Calicen Life LLC except where required by law or where infrastructure processing is strictly necessary to provide and secure the service.

Calicen is not a HIPAA-covered healthcare provider. Other consumer-health privacy and breach-notification laws may nevertheless apply, and Calicen treats identifiable health information as sensitive.

Service providers

Calicen uses carefully selected service providers for defined operational purposes. They may process limited information only to provide their services, subject to their terms and Calicen's configuration.

• Hetzner hosts the application in a United States data center.
• Google supports email delivery, Google OAuth sign-in, reCAPTCHA abuse prevention, and—only after consent—Google Analytics.
• Shopify provides the commercial platform used for products, carts, orders, and payment processing. Calicen Life LLC handles shipping, returns, refunds, and supplement support.
• YouTube, Instagram, and Discord receive information under their own policies if you follow an external link or interact with their content.

Analytics and cookies

Essential cookies support sessions, authentication, security, language, cookie choices, carts, and temporary health-tool inputs. Google Analytics is blocked unless you choose “Accept analytics.” You can change this choice from the Cookie Policy page.

Anonymized statistics and research

Calicen may remove direct identifiers and aggregate or anonymize information for statistics, research, protocol evaluation, product development, and public reporting. Calicen will use reasonable measures intended to prevent this information from identifying you and will not publish an identifiable health history without separate permission. Properly anonymized information may be retained and used independently of your account.

Retention and account deletion

When an account is deleted, it becomes unavailable for ordinary use. Calicen may retain account, health, security, support, and transaction records for up to five years after deletion for legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, safety, audit, and record-integrity purposes, then delete or anonymize them unless a longer period is legally required.

Published user content may remain under the license granted in the Terms. De-identified information and records held independently by Shopify or another provider are governed by the applicable provider and legal obligations.

Your choices and requests

Send requests to legal@calicen.life. Calicen may verify your identity before completing a request and may retain information where legally permitted or required.

• Review and update profile information from My Calicen.
• Request an export of your account and measurement history.
• Request correction, account deletion, or information about Calicen's handling of your data.
• Withdraw analytics consent without affecting essential site functions.

Children

Calicen's public educational material has no general viewing-age restriction. Calicen does not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. A child under 13 must not create an account or submit personal or health information unless a parent or legal guardian first contacts Calicen and completes an approved consent process.

Security, incidents, and changes

Calicen uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled, but no online service can promise absolute security. If a legally reportable breach affects identifiable health or personal information, Calicen will provide required notifications.

This policy may change as Calicen, its providers, or applicable law changes. Material updates will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.
