Pharmacological characterization of GABAA receptors in taurine-fed mice

Abstract

Taurine in mice shows protective effect agains seizures. As Taurine and picrotoxin compete for the same gaba receptors. something like that. Conclusion is: Less GABAa receptors because of evaluated Taurine, and picrotoxin can't bind enough to induce seizures.
