Weeks 10–17 · The push
Build into the space.
The second half of Calicen changes the assignment. Food returns, protein rises, and resistance training becomes central. The goal is not merely to regain—it is to rebuild with direction.
Understand the pushThe structural idea
Sensitivity first. Construction second.
The growth phase does not cancel the purge. It converts the space created by the purge into new capacity.
Growth signals are most useful when they are not constant background noise. After nine weeks of progressive reduction, Calicen deliberately restores energy, protein, training volume, and dietary variety.
The emphasis is Mediterranean and protein-aware: colorful plants, legumes, fish, olive oil, fermented foods, and sufficient building material paired with a reason to use it—resistance training.
Four coordinated progressions
Feed what you ask the body to build.
Growth is also progressive. Intake, strength work, and recovery move together so added resources have a useful destination.
-
1
Energy
Energy returns.
Calories rise from the purging endpoint to support training, restoration, and normal daily output.
Refeed deliberately rather than treating the end of restriction as an unstructured rebound.
-
2
Protein
Building material rises.
Higher protein supports remodeling when paired with progressive resistance exercise.
Distribute protein across the day and align it with the recipes assigned to the block.
-
3
Strength
Four weekly signals.
Resistance training becomes the dominant exercise stimulus for strength, muscle, bone, and useful physical reserve.
Train four times per week with progression, sound technique, and recoverable volume.
-
4
Cardio
The engine stays alive.
Cardio remains, but it supports the phase instead of competing for the largest share of recovery.
Keep enough aerobic work for fitness while reserving the main adaptive budget for strength.
The weekly reality
What the idea looks like in life
By week seventeen, the growth direction has delivered its strongest practical signal. Continuing indefinitely invites adaptation, fatigue, and diminishing returns. Calicen turns the cycle again so sensitivity can be renewed and the next push can matter.
- 01Follow the Mediterranean pattern and restore dietary variety.
- 02Reach the block’s protein target through complete meals.
- 03Complete four planned resistance sessions each week.
- 04Progress load or repetitions without sacrificing technique.
- 05Keep cardio purposeful and proportionate.
- 06Treat sleep and recovery as part of the growth prescription.
