Calicen's goal is to build and preserve useful muscle while keeping body fat low and body weight proportionate to your height.

Why keep an eye on total weight?

Your heart delivers oxygen and nutrients through the blood. A larger body needs more circulation, and excess weight can increase its workload. Size matters alongside body fat, although muscle supports strength and metabolic health and carries different risks from excess fat.

BMI cannot distinguish muscle from fat, and risk does not abruptly change at 25. The adult healthy-weight range is 18.5–24.9. Assess BMI alongside waist size, body composition, blood pressure and fitness; muscular people above 25 may still be healthy.

The payoff worth working for: strength you can use, easier movement and the capacity to enjoy an active life. Reducing excess fat while preserving muscle can support healthier blood pressure and metabolic health. Build a body that carries you well—for the long run.
