Week 09 · The deepest pull
The Seven-Day Fast
Seven consecutive days without meals. Water remains. A deliberate supplement foundation remains. High intensity leaves. The body receives one unmistakable assignment: stop building from the outside and work with what is already inside.
What it is
The final restriction before direction changes.
The fast is the ninth week of the pull mesocycle. It is not seven isolated 24-hour fasts. It is one continuous seven-day water fast with supplementation.
By this point there is no stronger nutritional restriction left to add. No food is the hard endpoint. Trying to extend the same direction would miss the principle. The correct next move is reversal: refeed, restore protein and begin the growth half of the cycle.
The fast is powerful because it completes the pull. It is productive because growth follows it.
The runway
The fast begins eight weeks before food stops.
Calicen does not drop a seven-day fast into an ordinary week. It progressively narrows the metabolic context until week nine feels like the next logical step.
Open
Ovo-pescatarian food and a 16:8 eating window introduce restriction without shock.
Enter ketosis
The eating window narrows to 18:6 while carbohydrates fall and fat becomes the dominant fuel context.
Reduce material
Calories and protein fall further. The body practices doing more with less incoming material.
Clear the runway
Vegan ketogenic food, stronger restriction and continued 18:6 leave little distance between eating and fasting.
That runway matters. By day one, ketosis is familiar, hunger has already been trained downward and the body is not being asked to understand an entirely new language overnight.
During the seven days
Remove food. Keep the rhythm.
Water remains central.
Drink through the day. Do not turn fasting into dehydration. Water and the supplemented mineral foundation support the state rather than competing with it.
Training moves down.
Week nine is the exception to normal Monday intensity. Norwegian 4×4 and other high-intensity work leave. Cardio stays in Zones 2 and 3 so demand matches the fuel available. Movement continues; performance chasing does not.
Attention turns inward.
Ketosis is not silent for me. I feel a different warmth, a subtle vibration through the skin, less hunger and sharper focus. The week creates space: less shopping, less cooking, less digestion, less noise.
What the fast is trying to do
- ● Make recycling and clearance the dominant assignment.
- ● Deepen ketosis after eight weeks of preparation.
- ● Reduce incoming growth signals to their lowest point.
- ● Increase sensitivity to the nutrients that return next.
- ● Create a decisive turning point in the 17-week wave.
What it is not
- ● A punishment for eating.
- ● A crash diet placed randomly into normal life.
- ● A week for personal records or maximal training.
- ● A permanent lifestyle.
- ● A reason to keep extending restriction after the endpoint.
Supplementation
Support the fast. Do not turn it into a meal.
The foundation
MegaB+
Elements+
Potassium citrate
Creatine
These remain because the goal is deep nutritional restriction—not avoidable depletion of the basic support used to carry the week.
Choose the edge
Omega-3
D3K2+
Mushroom Trio+
Skin Collagen Matrix+
Calicen prefers continuity. Someone pursuing the strictest possible protein restriction can leave collagen out.
Do not send growth.
Senolytics Stack+
Vegan Protein+
Protein would contradict the deepest pull. The senolytic schedule pauses during week nine.
The elephant in the room
Supplements are not metaphysical zero.
Capsules, oils and powders can contain small amounts of energy. That does not turn the week into seven days of eating. There are no meals, no ordinary calorie intake and no sustained food signal. Fasting remains the overwhelming context.
The core stack is the cleanest version. Optional oils, mushrooms and collagen move farther from literal zero. Collagen also supplies amino acids. Calicen still prefers it because glycine supports glutathione production and the raw materials used for cellular repair, while collagen is not treated as a strong muscle-building signal in the same way as a complete protein.
If your goal is to draw out the last possible degree of protein restriction, omit collagen. If your goal is the Calicen fast, the supported version is the default.
The question is not whether a capsule contains a trace of energy. The question is which biological assignment dominates the week.
Refeeding
Do not celebrate the turn by flooring the accelerator.
The first food is not the reward. It is the first controlled push signal.
Avocado and salt
Start with half an avocado. A whole avocado is acceptable if it feels easy. Salt matters. The meal is small, fatty and low in carbohydrate.
Wait three hours
Let the first signal land. Do not stack an enormous mixed meal on top of the first bite just because hunger has returned.
Lentil vegetable soup
Eat a full serving with vegetables. It reintroduces protein without turning immediately toward a heavy, high-sugar meal. Weeks 10–11 continue with high-protein vegan food.
The reason for deliberate refeeding is the insulin-driven movement of electrolytes after prolonged restriction. A prepared, healthy person may feel completely fine—I have completed the fast several times and can usually simply eat—but the intelligent sequence remains gradual, salted and controlled.
Day eight is week ten
The deepest pull exists to make the next push matter more.
Old material has been consumed. Incoming growth signals have been absent. Sensitivity is high. The body now has space, appetite and a reason to rebuild. That is why the fast ends here—and why protein returns next.
